Construction document management software
One folder structure for the whole project team.
Documents gives every project a shared folder tree. The general contractor, owner, design team and subcontractors browse the same structure, search across all of it, and see who added each file and when.

Documents
Contracts, specs, reports and photos in one place the whole team can reach.
Documents
Contracts, specs, reports and photos in one place the whole team can reach.
What it does
Project folders for specs, contracts and reports.
Nested folders
Create folders inside folders to match how your team files specs, contracts, reports and photos. A folder tree sits beside the contents on larger screens.
Search across every folder
Search by file or folder name across the whole project. Results show where each file lives, so you can go straight to its folder.
Rename and move
Rename files and folders, or move them anywhere in the tree. A folder cannot be moved inside itself, and names stay unique within a folder.
Clear ownership
The general contractor can manage everything. Everyone else can rename, move or delete what they added, and nothing else.
File details at a glance
Each file shows its type, size, who added it and when. The header shows the project's total file count and size.
Breadcrumb navigation
A breadcrumb path shows exactly where you are in the tree. On a phone, folders open from the list itself.
How it works
Step by step.
From the first step to the final record.
Step 1
Set up the folders
Create the top-level folders your company uses, then add subfolders where you need them.
Step 2
Organize the record
Keep each document in the folder it belongs in, where everyone on the project can find it.
Step 3
Find anything
Browse the tree or search across every folder by name.
Step 4
Keep it tidy
Rename, move or remove files and folders as the project changes, within the permissions of your role.
Who uses it
Built for the whole project team.
Everyone on the job works in the same record — each sees what their role allows.

Sets up the folder structure and can rename, move or delete anything in it.
Subcontractors
Browses and searches project files, and manages the files and folders they add.

Questions
Documents, answered.
Who can see project documents?
Everyone on the project team: the general contractor, owner, design team and subcontractors.
Can a subcontractor delete someone else's file?
No. Everyone except the general contractor can only rename, move or delete the files and folders they added.
Does search only look in the current folder?
No. Search runs across every folder in the project and shows the folder path for each result.
What happens to files when a folder is deleted?
Deleting a folder removes its subfolders and files with it, so only the general contractor or the person who created the folder can do it.
