Construction bid management software

Send trade bids subs can price consistently.

Trade bids split the job into trades. Each one has a scope, the scope items every bidder prices against, alternates and a due date. Invite subcontractors from your directory, answer their questions for everyone at once, and issue addenda that every bid must acknowledge.

What it does

Scope, bidders, Q&A and addenda by trade.

Packages by trade

One package per trade, tied to its CSI division, with a written scope, a list of scope items, alternates and a due date and time.

Invite from your directory

Invite subcontractors from your directory when you send the package, or add more bidders later. Save a package as a draft until it is ready.

Bidder status at a glance

See each invitation move from invited to viewed, bidding, declined or submitted, with bid counts and open questions on every package.

Questions answered to all

Bidders ask questions on the package. Your answer is shared with every bidder, without revealing who asked.

Numbered addenda

Issue numbered addenda to a package. Bidders must acknowledge the latest addendum before they submit.

Structured bids

Bidders enter a base bid, mark each scope item included or excluded with an optional breakout, price alternates and list exclusions and qualifications.

How it works

Step by step.

From the first step to the final record.

  1. Step 1

    Build the package

Pick the trade, describe the scope, list the scope items and alternates, and set the due date.

  2. Step 2

    Invite bidders

Choose subcontractors for that trade from your directory, then send. Each bidder sees only their own invitation.

  3. Step 3

    Answer questions and issue addenda

Answer bidder questions once for everyone, and issue addenda when the scope changes.

  4. Step 4

    Collect bids

Subs submit online before the due time. For bids that arrive by email, the GC enters them against the invitation.

  5. Step 5

    Level and award

Once the due time passes, the package moves to leveling, where you compare bids and award.

Questions

Trade bids, answered.

Can bidders see each other's bids or questions?

No. Each bidder sees only their own invitation and bid. Answered questions are shared with all bidders without the asker's name.

What if a sub sends their bid by email?

The general contractor can enter it against that bidder's invitation, so it is leveled with the rest.

Can a bidder revise their bid?

Yes, while the package is open and before the due time. The latest submission replaces the previous one.

What happens when an addendum is issued after bids are in?

Bids that acknowledged an earlier addendum are flagged in leveling as missing the latest one.
