What it does

One log per day, saved as you type, every version kept.

Every section the field records

Weather, manpower, scheduled work, equipment, deliveries, visitors, inspections, delays, accidents, safety violations, phone calls, waste, dumpsters and restrooms.

Crews copied from the last log

Copy yesterday's manpower in one tap, then adjust workers and hours. Man-hours total themselves as you go.

Saved as you go, every version kept

The log saves a second after each change and stays editable any time; there is no submit or approval step. Each sitting is kept as a numbered version with who edited it and when.

Missing days made visible

The calendar shows every workday, each logged day with its weather and crew, and a past workday with no log marked No log.

Problems stand out

Delays, accidents and safety violations are counted on each day's row, with delay cause and hours lost recorded on every delay.

Scheduled work and no-shows

Record which crews were scheduled, whether they showed and how many worked, so no-shows are on the record.

How it works

Step by step.

From the first step to the final record.

  1. Step 1

    Open today's log

Pick the day. The log opens with its sections ready to fill; logs can't be written for future days.

  2. Step 2

    Fill in the day

Copy crews from the last log, then add work, deliveries, equipment, visitors, inspections and any delays or incidents. It saves as you go.

  3. Step 3

    Keep it current

Come back and add to it whenever the day's record fills in. Each sitting is kept as a version, and older versions open read-only.

  4. Step 4

    File the day's PDF

Once the log goes quiet, the day's PDF is filed in Documents under GC › Daily logs.

Who uses it

Built for the whole project team.

Everyone on the job works in the same record — each sees what their role allows.

Questions

Daily logs, answered.

Who can write the daily log?

Anyone on the GC's team for the project. Daily logs are the GC's internal record: the owner, subcontractors and the design team don't see them.

Can a log be changed later?

Yes. A log stays editable; there is no submit or approval step. Every sitting is kept as a numbered version, so an earlier version can still be opened, read-only.

Is there one log per day or per person?

One per project per day. The day is a calendar date, so a Tuesday log stays on Tuesday regardless of time zone.

How do I find days that were never logged?

The calendar marks each past weekday with no log, from the job's start, as No log. Weekends never count as missing.
